Scent designer, Kat Snowden, has been in awe of scent for as long as she can remember, beginning with an aromatherapy journey in her early teens. This led to a career in cosmetic chemistry, founding the skin care brand Clean Slate. Coming back to her roots Kat undertook formal perfume studies in 2017 and has since been formulating and manufacturing fragrances with a huge focus on natural scents and Australian natives. Kat has designed fragrances for brands such as Melis, Heartwood, Alex Hotel, Aekos, Bopo, and scent installations for Daliland and Melbourne-based artist Rone. She won a silver award for women’s fragrance in the Low Tox Awards and has been featured in publications such as Broadsheet, Urban List, Scoop, The West Australian, and The Weekend West.
