Online Italian Course Launched by CLID Emirates

The University for Foreigners of Siena, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute in Abu Dhabi is launching online Italian language courses starting from April 2024. The Italian  language distance courses,  denominated “CLID Emirates,” are designed for students/workers residing in the United Arab Emirates .  For University students there is the possibility to gain 2 academic credits as  ECTS ( European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) for each 36 hours course in three months of attendance. The planned courses follow the levels A1, A2, B1 (12 hours per month, 3 hours per week).

In The CLID Emirates quarterly courses are organized with synchronous lessons on Zoom Pro Education. Zoom classes consist of a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 18 students per level/course, all taught by native Italian speakers from the University for Foreigners of Siena.

The Italian Cultural Institute of Abu Dhabi is the cultural branch of the Italian Embassy to  U.A.E and of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. It is one of the 84 Cultural Institutes in the world to promote Italian culture and language.

The University for Foreigners of Siena is a public university specialized in the teaching of Italian as well as many other languages. It also specializes in scientific research on the diffusion of the Italian language and culture in the world and in contacts between Italian and other languages and cultures.
