The Lost ‘n Found Yoga 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Program is fresh and up to date, reflecting modern scientific research and emerging trends in the field of yoga.
Our vision at Lost ‘n Found Yoga is twofold. First and foremost, we want to dispel the myths of yoga in order to make the practice accessible to everyone, regardless of age, ability and personal ideology.
Second, we want to cross the bounds of traditional yoga and use yoga as a tool to help support the mental and emotional health of Niagara residents.
Our program is unique in it’s depth and perspective. It takes a look at yoga through the lens of science and human behaviour.
Together we will explore where science, movement and theories of human development intersect with yoga. We will delve into what the field of neuroscience says about the brain/body connection and how yoga is gaining credibility as an effective tool to support individuals who have unique physical, emotional and social needs.
This training will equip you to be an exceptional yoga teacher who is able to teach compassionately, creatively and intelligently while intertwining tradition with current knowledge about the practice.
You will feel confident in your skills as a first class yoga teacher as well as taking your practice to new places off the traditional yoga mat such as in your job as a Teacher, Counsellor, Educational Assistant or Recreational Therapist.
Our Commitment to You:

Our teaching team is made up of individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and yoga practices.
Upon completion of the program we don’t want to leave you stranded, so you will have the opportunity to teach a four to six week Gratitude community class.
A Gratitude class is a free class designed to give you some teaching experience and allow people who can’t afford yoga access to classes.
The program at Lost ‘n Found Yoga will challenge you to a deeper level of critical thinking and equip you with the tools to integrate yoga philosophy off the mat in practical ways as well as equipping you to be a first class instructor.

Lost ‘n Found Yoga is owned by April and Bill Janzen. April is the Creative Director and oversees the vision and strategic direction for the studio, as well as the day-to-day operations. She holds a Masters of Social Work degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and is passionate about trauma-sensitive yoga practice and social justice. Bill previously owned Future Access, a Niagara-based web development and digital marketing agency, and he now manages marketing and finance Lost ‘n Found Yoga.
Lost ‘n Found Yoga was rebranded from “Yoga by Sarah” in August 2019. The “Sarah” in Yoga by Sarah comes from our founder’s name, Sarah Giovannone. Sarah discovered yoga in the mid 1990’s when she found a yoga VHS tape on the shelf of a local video store in St. Catharines while browsing for fitness workout videos. This video led to her friends regularly coming to her house at 6am, moving furniture out of the living room and popping the video in the VCR for an early morning workout. She founded the studio in 1999, and over the years she grew Yoga by Sarah from a one-woman show to the thriving community it is today. After getting engaged, she sold the studio to April and Bill in the Fall of 2017 in order to move to Collingwood to be with the man of her dreams.
