ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

ACLS is an advanced, instructor-led classroom course that highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care.

It also covers airway management and related pharmacology. In this course, skills are taught in large, group sessions and small, group learning and testing stations where case-based scenarios are presented.

This course is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies.

This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units.

• 2020 Advanced Cardiac Life Support Student Manual or eBook (Required)
• AHA's ACLS Algorithms

Content:

• 1-rescuer CPR, AED
• Defibrillation
• Airway management
• Rhythm recognition
• IV/IO access
• Use of medications
• Cardioversion
• Transcutaneous pacing
• Effective resuscitation team dynamic

Important: There will be no admission into the class without the completed Pretest (with passing score) and the current AHA- ACLS Provider manual.  If a student comes to class without the required items, all of the fees paid will be forfeited. Please come to class prepared. Urgent classes are available for an additional fee.
