This is a Level 1 qualification, aimed at anyone who wants to improve their listening skills and speaking skills, and who wants to have a better understanding of them self and others.
By the end of the course, students will develop more empathic listening skills, techniques for more effective communication and an understanding of human emotions.
This course is divided into 2 units: Speaking and Listening Skills This covers communication with others and being able to engage in discussions on a range of topics.
Emotional Intelligence This covers being able to identify emotions in self and others and developing techniques to deal with these emotions in order to hep others who may be struggling.
How is the course delivered and assessed?
Through a range of activities including class discussions, presentations, Video clips and PowerPoint delivery and worksheets. There will be an ongoing workbook to fill in to gain each of the criteria needed to pass the course. The work will also draw on your own personal and professional experiences.
What do I need to join (Entry Requirements)
None. Just a willingness to learn and take on board new ideas.
