What will you learn?
As an MHFAider you will be able to:
Recognise those that may be experiencing poor mental health and provide them with first-level support and early intervention
Encourage a person to identify and access sources of professional help and other supports
Practise active listening and empathy
Have a conversation with improved mental health literacy around language and stigma
Discuss the MHFAider role in depth, including boundaries and confidentiality
Practise self-care
Know how to use the MHFAider Support App

GJP Our courses are available from a short three-hour intense session to a multi-day booking.
This course is for people whose first aid at work certificate is still valid and who need to renew their qualification. Re-qualification courses must be completed before the expiry of a First Aid at Work certificate to maintain the permit to work as a first aider.
This qualification meets the requirements for training first-aiders in those organisations that have identified that staff need to be trained to this level within their first-aid needs assessment.
