Adult Sewing Class

This beginner sewing class is an entry level class. Students will learn any of the following projects a pin cushion, a mask, a pillow, a tote bag, a cosmetic case, pull-on shorts , or pull on pajama bottoms – one project a session / week.

Studio provides the sewing machine, basic ruler / tape measure, straight pins, other notions, and scissors.

In this class we will learn any of the following items:

• How to thread our machines properly - troubleshoot simple issues
• Learn how to thread a bobbin
• Measure and cut from measurements (self-simple pattern)
• Read a pattern and cut from the pattern
• Take one’s measurements and someone else’s measurements
• Create a project from measurements
• Thread elastic
• Square a corner and create a lining
• Basic hand sewing techniques

While we do provide some basic supplies; there are basic sewing supplies recommended for sewing and use in any class (and because of Covid-19 we recommend your own supplies to use).
