This course is an introduction to the human body. Learners explore the structure and function of main organ systems and discuss health promotion strategies to support optimal function of each system.
The terminology of human anatomy and physiology will be stressed.

This course includes the study of normal anatomy and physiology of the human body, beginning with the structure and function of the cell and continuing with the organization of the cell into organs.
Understand the anatomy and physiology of the human body as a functioning system through a detailed examination of the structure and functions of all the major body systems.
The topics of study include cells, tissues, as well as the following body systems:, Integumentary, musculoskeletal, ciculatory, respiratory and digestive.
This course is the first of two that are designed to introduce the student to the fundamentals of anatomy and physiology of all human body systems.
