Animation

Animation majors at SVA are skilled artists and storytellers who understand movement through a solid foundation of drawing, narrative development and principles of animation.

The purpose of this course is to expose students to the 2D digital animation pipeline and help them build their portfolio.

The expectation of this course is for students to gain a basic understanding of 2D animation, from learning the foundation for drawing and storytelling to an introduction in creating digital animation with Adobe Animate.

While executing these digital techniques, students will learn about the principles of animation through class exercises and discussions.
