The Applied Accounting program gives you the necessary skills for a career providing entry-level accounting support. While this program focuses on fundamental accounting skills, you will also build skills in mathematics, general business practices, professional communication and business software. You will further your understanding of various accounting principles by focusing on solving real-world problems and industry challenges.

The Applied Accounting program prepares you for success in accounting support positions. In addition to fundamental accounting skills, the program includes courses in Canadian business practices and communication. After finishing the program, most graduates start their careers as accounting clerks or bookkeepers for small businesses.

If your academic history includes any of the following, please visit My Education for important information: post-secondary studies at an institution other than Red River College Polytechnic; Modified (M), English as an Additional Language (E), or GED high school courses; or home schooling; international secondary (high school) studies.
