The degree is designed to educate and train students with relevant technical knowledge of it practices in cybersecurity to provide solutions for real-world problems, as well as to provide technical support for computer-based information systems. 

Program Admission Prerequisites    

  • The following sequence applies to those who have completed an AAS with all applicable technical coursework and at least 15 credit hours of Core requirements. Students who have an Associate of Arts (AA) or and Associate of Science (AS) will be required to complete 42 WECM hours before they can be admitted. Students applying for admission to the program with a deficiency of up to 6 credits (or equivalent) will be eligible for conditional admission consideration.

Program Highlights

  • Technology-oriented coursework, with an emphasis on hands-on training of those technologies, will form the major requirements for this program. The program’s objectives will offer academic development in a number of ways and will include required capstone and portfolio courses that will enhance the educational experience and employment potential for students. The program will also include professional components to develop skills in communication, work ethics, flexibility/adaptability and group work.
