Description

Want to learn how to knit? Or need a refresher because you haven't knit in a long time? In this class you will learn how to cast on and create the basic stitches of knitting, how to “read” your work, and how to fix mistakes. No previous experience is required.

This is an ongoing class taught by our very own Sarah Travenick. You can start any session and she will work with you at your pace. You can sign up for one class or get a 3-class bundle. Take as many classes as you wish to gain the confidence to make a simple project like a washcloth, scarf, cowl, or fingerless gloves.

Please select the date you wish to attend. If you are getting the 3 class package the date you select will be for your first session. Classes fill in on first come, first serve basis. You will need to RSVP for the 2nd and 3rd classes.

Need to skip a session? Not a problem. We do limit the class size to 6 students so please RSVP by sending an email to us to let us know which session or sessions you will be attending.

Ongoing support is always available in the store at any time during our open hours. If you want more extensive help, we can arrange private lessons. You are also welcome to come to Stitch & Bitch on Thursday evenings where there is usually casual help available (and a lot of fun!).

Bring: light colored worsted weight yarn and size US8 knitting needles. Wool or acrylic yarn is recommended. If you do not have these supplies, come early (15-20 minutes) or on a day prior to your first session and receive a 10% discount in the shop.
