This programme covers the study of technology that handles information and enables communication. A key feature of the programme is the incorporation of industry certification and practitioner-oriented courses.
Students are provided with a strong theoretical foundation in the various technologies related to the handling, processing and communication of information.
Graduates will be industry-ready and well prepared for a multitude of careers in the infocomm industry.
Students in this programme are automatically members of the Singapore Computer Society Student Chapter.
Students may pursue Information and Communication Technology as a single major or in combination with a minor.
Programme Structure
BSc Information and Communication Technology
To graduate with a basic degree, students are required to complete 130 credit units (cu), which include:
20 cu of SUSS Core courses
60 cu of Major Compulsory courses
20 cu of Major Elective courses
30 cu of Free Electives or Minor
The Curriculum Is Structured Such That:
Level 1 courses consist of computer architecture and programming courses.
Level 2 courses consist of further programming courses, and subject area courses in operating system, computer network, data management, and information system courses, as well as industry certification courses from AWS, Redhat, Oracle and Huawei.
Level 3 courses consist of subject area courses in application development, DevOps, cloud computing, big data computing, cybersecurity, and IT project management.
