The CTC Program was developed in 2004 as a community service to provide a structured educational program for those interested in learning the science of electrocardiographic recording techniques. Upon fulfillment of all CTC program requirements, graduates receive a certificate of completion.
The curriculum is based on the content specifications of the Certified Cardiographic Examination administered by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), and graduates are encouraged to sit for this certification examination. Graduates who sit for, and pass, the Certified Cardiographic Examination, obtain the Certified Cardiographic Technician credentials that follow their name as (CCT). The curriculum is based on the content specifications of the Certified Cardiographic Technician Examination administered by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (www.cci-online.org), and graduates are encouraged to sit for this certification examination.

In accordance with and in support of the mission of the Nashville General Hospital, the Cardiographic Technician Certification Program is committed to educating highly skilled cardiographic technicians who will provide quality care for their patients. It is the program’s mission to promote cardiographic recording skills, high-quality patient care, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, professionalism, and continuing education. This is accomplished through a three-month didactic and clinical curriculum.
