Nurse to the Rescue was founded in 2016 by Professional Nurse Dalene Jordaan and longtime friend Leonie Enslin.
The suggestion for the name came from another friend and family photographer, Elza de Bruyn.
Nurse to the Rescue was bound to make history!
The company started off by offering health care services and training to the public and were initially managed by a group of Professional Nurses.
Since the official opening in October 2016, Nurse to the Rescue has explored many opportunities in the healthcare industry, e.g. first aid training, primary health care , occupational health care, wound care, health screenings, homebased care and foot care.
From 2018 - 2019 workshops were developed that would enhance the skills and knowledge of nursing and caregiving staff in frail care facilities.
Furthermore to the training was added the accreditation with Services Seta in 2021 for the one year program: National Certificate in Home care Practices. The first 7 students were enrolled in June 2021. In July 2021 a residential care facility, House of Remembrance, was established where Caregivers care for several frail residents in 2 newly renovated houses.
This was made possible by Russell Coetzee, a man who could have chosen anything other than changing the lives of hundreds of people. House of Remembrance (Pty) Ltd was registered in 2022 as a private company. Nurse to the Rescue aims to set a high standard for homecare training in the industry.
Caregivers that qualify with Nurse to the Rescue will have the opportunity to be employed by the company and work at either a private client or in the very same residential care facility where they completed their practical hours. Nurse to the Rescue currently has a staff compliment of more than 35 individuals.
Our business is extending our footprint to the Welkom-area in 2023. Homecare training as well as private homecare services will be offered to residents of this mining town and surrounding area from as early as January 2023.
Nurse to the Rescue supports local businesses and believes in empowering people, because life is precious.
