You will learn how to support independence and wellbeing, gain a range of technical skills, and develop a range of transferable skills from communication to teamwork. This specialised course will give you the skills to facilitate the empowerment of older people, and provide support to those living with dementia.

This qualification reflects the roles of health care workers in the community-setting home care and/or residential facilities who follow an individualised plan and provide person-centered care to individuals who may require support due to ageing or disability or from needing home support.
The Aged Care Quality Standards are in place to ensure that consumers have quality outcomes when receiving residential or home care. This course describes the standards and the roles and responsibilities of staff to meet the ongoing requirements.
This course is FEE-FREE under JobTrainer which is fully funded by the NSW and Commonwealth governments. The course is designed for domestic students studying in Australia.
