The Mission of SEWAFRICA is to provide the opportunity for development and training in the fashion industry that will enable individuals in the informal fashion sector to receive training that will facilitate the generation of income through self employment and formal employment as a major contributor to the revitalization of the Inner City and the clothing industry.
In addition, SEWAFRICA aims to meet the training and development needs of the formal sector of the Fashion Industry and thereby promote and advance the industry by providing skills and individual development opportunities.
Sewing classes are offered by Silent Sewing Academy for all skill level. Learn to Sew in 16 Lessons Variety of sewing courses and workshops available on all levels, from Beginner to Professional.
Eazy Stitch Sewing Academy offers to take your sewing skills to the next level with progression from Module 1 - 6.
In the beginner courses you will learn to sew a bag, a cushion and a pyjama pant.
This 4 part series of classes is the first level of a longer course for hobby sewers. A total of 12 hours over 4 mornings. The course is for absolute beginners which means no experience is needed. Adults and Teens from 14 years old are welcome to join this course.
Our long-term objective is that students will go on to start entrepreneurial enterprises possibly creating employment for others or find workplace opportunities.
