This session will provide leaders with the skills needed to use coaching to leverage the organizations investment in people.
Significant change is now a constant in our environment. Studies suggest the rate of change will continue to increase in all business/service sectors in the months and years ahead.
The ability to develop people and achieve results in this changing environment is critical to an organization's success - in fact the future depends upon it.
During times of growth and change, coaching and mentoring employees are among the most valuable activities in which a leader can engage. Coaching is fundamentally about facilitating change that will lead to desired results: facilitating movement from a current state to a desired future state.
This session will provide leaders with the skills needed to use coaching to leverage the organizations investment in people. Mentoring relationships have existed for many years in the workplace on an ad hoc basis.
While the concept has existed, there is still mystique around the meaning and value. Building on coaching skills, this session will enable participants to understand the value of mentoring and more importantly, develop skills to create and manage mentoring relationships, both as mentors and mentees.
