This coaching course can help you to improve your life balance or life purpose. By helping clients identify the relative satisfaction they have in different areas of their lives from health, to work, to finance, to self development, we will help clients set goals that will enable a more balanced perspective on the different areas of their lives and allow them to move forward in a proactive and positive manner. This course includes five individual sessions with a psychological coach.
Often we are unaware of the effect that one aspect of our lives, such as work, finance, achievements, esteem or friendships, has on all the other areas.
Establishing your satisfaction with different areas of your life and work can really help you to see these interconnections and to plan a way to progress to a more satisfying lifestyle with a real sense of improved wellbeing.
Structure of coaching for improved health and wellbeing
A course of five sessions is recommended for clients. Each session would be two weeks apart, and although tailored specifically to the individual client would look something like the example given below:
Session 1: The first introductory session would outline the coaching process and the roles and responsibilities of both the coach and the client.
Session 2: Following the first session would be an in-between session assignment which would be used as the basis for the second session where the client's desired outcomes for the sessions would be identified. At this second session a Wheel of Life tool would be used to help clients see the comparative levels of satisfaction they have in different areas of their life. This will allow the setting of a plan of action for the remaining sessions.
Sessions 3 and 4: These would consist of choosing items from the client's agenda to work on. Different tools and techniques would be used to help the client identify and change thoughts and behaviours which are impeding their potential and wellbeing and to help them understand and recognise any thinking errors they commonly make. Through these tools and techniques the areas of the client's life which are less satisfactory than the others could be worked on. Small changes in specific areas can often have a much larger effect on the client's overall wellbeing. Coaching will enable clients to follow a plan of action and execute it to make real measurable improvements in overall personal wellbeing.
Session 5: Finally there is a review session to consolidate what has been achieved and to plan how the client can move forward as their own self coach. During this session the Wheel of Life tool would again be used and the client would be asked to reflect on the progress they have made.
