This course is a comprehensive introduction to the basics of contemporary media makeup and hair. You will learn important skills such as how to use an airbrush, along with more traditional beauty and corrective makeup techniques for both men and women.

You’ll find out more about hair equipment, styling products and hair pieces, and discover how to create interest, movement, shape and texture. You will study how fashion and style effect colour and cuts. From light, bouncy styles to long, sweeping looks, from large curling waves to sophisticated updos – explore how to create these styles for celebrities, film stars and supermodels.

This contemporary hair and makeup course is also perfect for those who wish to embark on careers in freelance bridal hair and makeup, retail makeup artistry, photographic makeovers and event hair and makeup.
