This course is designed for Level II Dental Assistants and Dental Hygienists who want to gain exposure to and assist with intra-oral procedures.
This program helps to prepare students to provide the services of a certified dental assistant as outlined in the BC College of Oral Health Professionals (BCCHOP)* Â Bylaws under the Health Professions Act of British Columbia.
Today’s dental professional recognizes that there is a requirement for caring, well-trained, multi-skilled dental auxiliaries because of the tremendous advances in technology, along with public demand for quality care.
Dental assistants work as part of the oral health team, assisting dentists and dental specialists, carrying out direct patient care and instructing patients in the principles and practices of good oral health.
The Dental Assisting (Levels I and II) Ontario College Certificate program gives you the ability to work professionally, ethically and collaboratively within a healthcare team to provide oral care for clients.
