Emergency First Aid And CPR Course

First aid:

It is the primary assistance or treatment given at the site of accident to the personnel who is injured or suddenly taken ill, before the arrival of ambulance. The provider of First-Aid should be able to 

• Assessment of the situation quickly and calmly, 
• dealing with life threatening situations meanwhile protecting him/her self from the danger, 
• obtain medical aid and call an ambulance in event of serious injury or illness

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR): 

It is a set of procedures performed to provide oxygenation and circulation to the body during cardiac arrest.

There are two types of personnel who can perform CPR on someone during an emergency situation

• TYPE I: People who work in the medical field belong to the first group. Physicians, nurses, and emergency responders must all perform CPR if they see someone who requires it.
• TYPE II: People who have received CPR training belong to the second group. They may not have a professional background in medicine, but knowing how to perform CPR is sufficient. All employees, including the Safety Officer, Firefighter, Site Manager, Engineer, Supervisor, and Foreman, must be well-trained.

Learning outcomes of Training

• For learners to have knowledge as well as they are able to recognize and respond to a variety of different emergencies.
• For the learner to be able to assist in the event of an emergency that may occur in workplace.
• Understanding first aider’s role and responsibilities  
• Able to assess an incident
• Taking care of a non-responsive victim who is breathing normally.
• Taking care of an unresponsive victim who isn't breathing normally.
• Recognizing and assisting a casualty who is choking
• Taking care of a wounded and bleeding victim
• Knowledge on how to deal with a casualty with minor injury.
• Knowledge about how to deal with a variety of situations
