The Care Certificate was presented to: Substitute the Common Induction Standards (CIS) and National Minimum Training Standards (NMTS). With that achieving learning outcomes, competences and standards that will ensure care quality standards.
The qualifications are relevant to people working in health and social care settings where individuals who are supported are approaching the end of their life.
The Care Certificate is designed to ensure that all workers in the health and social care sector receive training in the fundamental skills that their jobs require.
The course consists of mandatory units and a selection of optional units that will be matched to your job role. Topics include: Communication, Health and Safety, Laws and legislation, Responsibilities, Policies and Procedures for the Sector, Role of a Care Worker, Equality & Diversity.
This course explains legal requirements , policy guidance and explores the emotional and psychological processes people experience regarding end of life care.
