Course Details

Great for ALL LEVELS, this class breaks down basic steps (like jacking, skating, chase, salsa hop, sidewalk, stomp, and shuffle step) to build a solid foundation that will allow students to move, groove, and freestyle to the music.

Students will learn to dance in both free-flowing and syncopated movements. 

House dance is a footwork based movement primarily danced to house music that has roots in the clubs of Chicago and New York.

Great for all levels looking to sweat and learn new steps, comfortable footwear and sweatpants are highly recommended!

House music arose from the ashes of disco in the mid-'80s and began as a relatively small fraction of club culture at underground functions. The genre of dance that developed is a stylized footwork oriented movement known as “house dancing”.

While house dancing is highly reminiscent of its early dance predecessors like swing, lindy hop, jazz, and tap, it is a genre of dance-infused with Latin American and West African cultural influences.

Jojo is recognized for continually trail-blazing a style and standard that has infused itself into today’s mainstream dance world from Madonna, to Nelly Furtado, to La Roux. In the film and TV realm, he has made a presence in Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, Legends of Tomorrow, Valley of The Boom, and Limetown to name a few.
