HVAC technicians diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems. They also install, maintain and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
In part one of the HVAC/R evening program, students will study the fundamental principles of electricity. This will include: the magic of transformers, electric motors, gas and electric heat, and how to read and understand electrical schematics and diagrams.
The program is designed to prepare entry-level workers in industries that include, but are not limited to, chemical, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, power generation, pulp and paper, refining, and waste water control.
