IELTS Listening

Overview:

Listening module is the first one that appears in IELTS exam whether it is Academic or General and listening remains the same for both versions of IELTS. Listening starts with sound check followed by the distribution of Listening answers sheets and question booklets by IELTS Invigilators.

After ensuring sound quality, students are indicated to commence their listening. In the end, students have 10 minutes to transfer their answers to the answer sheet. IELTS listening takes time from 35 – 40 minutes.

Listening Section Details

• Duration of Listening Module is 25-30 minutes.
• Listening module has 4 sections in total and each section comprises of 10 questions.
• Both General and Academic students appear for the same Listening test.
• 10 minutes after completing Listening will be given to you to transfer the answers to the answer sheet.

IELTS Reading

Overview:

Reading is the second module that appears in IELTS exam. Academic and General versions have keys difference such as number of paragraphs and level of difficulty. Reading starts with distribution of question booklet and no extra time is provided to provide to transfer the answers to the answer sheet.

Academic Reading:

• 40 Questions
• 3 Sections
• 3 Paragraphs
• 60 minutes recording
