Whether you have a son who’s in preschool or a daughter that’s going on six years old, Engineering For Kids offer robotics classes that children as young as pre-kindergartners can enjoy.
Our junior robotics engineering classes use educational kits like LEGO® WeDo and LEGO® Spike Essentials to create a perfect mixture of fun and imagination that can help expand your young child’s creative mind. We introduce students to robot design and computer programming using basic machine principles to create robots capable of performing simple tasks.
At Engineering For Kids of San Francisco County, we not only understand kids—their natural curiosity, their imagination, their love of learning—we also understand the importance of developing science, technology, engineering, and math skills early in life.
By mixing the two, we’ve developed the perfect solution: an exciting, hands-on educational program meant to introduce children to the amazing engineering field. Knowing that science, technology, engineering, and math education serves as the foundation for many of today’s careers, we’re passionate about getting young learners excited about their futures!
In our coding classes, we introduce kids to coding with fun interactive games, stimulating their minds and exposing them to computer science.
Kids play games all the time so why not learn how to make the games. In this class students will get to pick the class of their choice. They can choose from: Virtual Reality Game Design, Programming with Python, or 3D Game Development with Unreal.
Build the game of your dreams with the Construct 3 game engine. Learn how to add sprites, create environments, maps, and behaviors. You can use scene-graph and timeline features to design creative animations and import 3D images.
Beginner level one coding class is for children age 6 years or older. Students will learn Scratch basics and Minecraft programming. The coding class will teach students to create their own interactive stories, games, and animations, and share them with the rest of the world.
In this exciting class, students will learn important foundational coding skills while building military inspired robots. Children will learn about sequencing commands, value and sensor inputs, and loops as they create robotic catapults, crossbows, battleships and much more!
