What you will learn
Roles and responsibilities of the first aider within the workplace
Scene Survey
Unconscious casualties, including seizures
Adult, junior and baby CPR
Use of AED
Choking
Burns and scalds
Bleeds and shock
Minor wounds such as grazes, small cuts and bruises
How you will learn
This is a classroom-based instructor lead course. The classroom learning is facilitated by the instructor using PowerPoint presentation, scenario-based learning, open discussions and formative and summative assessment. Each learner will receive a First Aid Manual which can be used during the course and is theirs to keep post course.
Assessment – There are a series of practical assessments throughout the course as well as a multiple-choice question paper at the end of the course.
Duration of course
This is a 1-day course consisting of 6 hours of contact learning time and is valid for a period of 3 years, with the HSE recommending annual updates throughout the time you hold the qualification.

7,500 hours of first aid/medical cover for events, functions and film shoots and have been the house medical team at a large entertainments venue since commencing operations.

When staffing events, we look at more than just getting required numbers. We strive to ensure that the team we provide are not only qualified and experienced but have the capability to respond swiftly to patients in all areas of the event site and are appropriate for the nature and pace of each individual event.
To give back to our local community
We support, promote and provide services to local charities such as the Bexhill Lions at local community events.
