Makeup Lessons

From am early age, Angela was very artistic using dance and art to express her creative side. It wasn't until she had the opportunity to travel to Japan to work for Tokyo Disneyland as a performer did she realize the possibility of working in the makeup industry. 

From the moment Angela returned from working as a performer in Tokyo, Japan she began her journey in the beauty industry and graduated at the top of her class as a Professional Makeup Artist from Artists Within in Calgary, AB. Angela dove into the industry and worked with many photographers in Calgary before moving back to her hometown of Fort St. John, BC where she is currently located. 

As her skills as a makeup artist developed so did her love for makeup as a form of artistic impression. Talent, skill and passion have created the successful career Angela enjoys today. Angela is available as a guest Makeup Artist working alongside SMASHBOX Cosmetics located in the Shoppers Beauty Boutique. This allows Angela to use her knowledge in the beauty industry while helping find the right look for anyone coming in for a makeover.

This amazing company that is based out of Los Angeles, California. Angela is available in the Fort St. John area and is also available to travel to surrounding areas. Angela has an at home studio located in her home but is also available on location. 

Getting to know your Makeup Artist

My name is Angela, most of my friends and family call me Ange. I love Coffee, the smell, the taste and just the feeling of holding a hot cup of coffee. I love yoga, I enjoy going to a yoga class early sitting in silence before a great class. I love essential oils. I love plants, real ones mostly but I also have a few fake ones mixed in. I love pottery, I have a Kilhouse collection and I am always looking at adding to it. I love antiques, I have a vintage compact collection.

I am a huge fan of The Curse of Oak Island, yes, I know, but I love a good treasure hunt and some history. I love the color emerald green but mostly wear jeans and a white t shirt. I have been told by a friend in Calgary that I have a yellow aura which means bright, creative, happy, cheerful and a good leader.

I am a mother of 2 beautiful daughters, I have a very supportive husband of being the owner of Angela Moody Makeup Artistry since I work most weekends and after work hours. I love collaborating with local photographers, hairstylists, and makeup artists, in this business it’s really important to surround yourself with positive, like minded artists who have the same vision.

I have been in this business for more than 10 years and I have really grown and found who I am as an artist. I love meeting all the new faces that sit in my makeup chair, as well as all the return clients coming back for that special look or photoshoot makeup.

The makeup industry is always changing and I love the ever changing styles and trends. This keeps me busy trying out the new products to make sure my kit is full of the best cosmetics that will last all day.
