Managing Pressure and Stress

This one-day course focuses on the subject of pressure and stress, supporting participants to recognise the positive and negative aspects of pressure, understand their own stress 'triggers' and develop strategies for managing pressure and stress. 

The course includes

  • Understanding pressure and stress

  • The relationship between pressure, performance and satisfaction

  • Using the zone model for self-analysis

  • The cause and effect of stress

  • Recognising our own stress 'triggers'

  • Techniques for managing our stress, including:

  • The learning cycle

  • Success management

  • Developing personal resilience

  • Mindfulness techniques

By the end of the course, participants will

  • Understand the positive and negative aspects of pressure and stress

  • Recognise their current relationship between pressure, performance and satisfaction

  • Have clarity as to the stress triggers in their own life 

  • Developed the skills to better manage pressure and stress

The course is run by Lauren Seward.  Lauren is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and has an MA in People Development.

As well as running public courses and providing training in organisations, she also teaches Managerial and Professional Development on the MBA programmes at Bradford University.
