Extracting information from data has become a science in itself, blending skill sets from mathematics, statistics and computing to help companies drive informed decision making and problem solving. Studying this program will provide you with extensive scientific skills and methods to extract meaningful data and solve complex problems. 

Data Science at Western

During this program you will learn about the various types of data, the extraction of relevant and meaningful data, as well as developing the analytical skills to turn this data into valuable insights. Throughout your studies you will learn how to efficiently identify trends, understand customers and predict behaviour, detect fraud, and identify credit risk. Our Master of Data Science provides a strong applications focus, covering the nature of data, including Big Data and data driven investigations, as well as visual and computational analytics. On completion of the program, you will have completed two self-guided master projects, and will graduate with the confidence and skills to draw out meaningful insights with actionable metrics.
