The MProfAcctg is a professional coursework masters programme that will provide you with knowledge and skills in business, accounting, finance, commercial law and taxation.

It will enable you to continue developing personally and professionally in your career and provide the academic preparation for graduates seeking to qualify as chartered accountants or certified practising accountants. The programme is recognised by CAANZ, CPA Australia, ACCA and CIMA.

The MProfAcctg is an 18-month, 240-point programme studied over six quarters. You will study core business courses along with a set of specialised accounting and related courses.

You will also complete two professional development modules as an important component of your degree. These will equip you with the professional skills that you will need to enhance your employability and success in the business world.

  • You must have completed a BCom or a non-business degree in a relevant discipline such as arts, engineering, technology, or science. You will need a GPA of 5.0 in 90 points in the most advanced courses taken in your qualification.
  • If you have completed advanced course(s) in an undergraduate degree that are considered substantially similar to courses in this programme you will be required to complete substitute course(s). Advice will be provided to you on a case-by-case basis.
