More than a decade ago, the industry of Medical Aesthetics reached a new era of growth and profitability. A boom in demand for professional Med Spa services was missing just one thing high-quality education for professionals entering the field.
In an effort to bridge this gap, Texas Laser and Aesthetics Training Academy was born, a facility to provide the highest standard of education to both those in the trade and those wishing to enter it. TLATA offered up its first-ever course in 2012: Laser Hair Removal.
Fast forward to 2022, where it now houses over 25 distinct licensing and certification courses, all whilst remaining true to its core values and standards. Texas Laser is immensely proud to license current and next-generation practitioners through the real-world curriculum at our campus in Austin, Texas, as well as virtually through our online courses.
Our course was developed by a licensed Nurse Practitioner with 8 years medical training and 12 years in the cosmetic industry (7 years cosmetic tattooing). She merges her love and skill of aesthetics with the knowledge and insight of science and skincare.
In our Microblade training, we teach this method using a manual tool, plus a small amount of pins in a straight configuration to achieve the hair-stroke illusion. The application process takes anywhere from 20-90 minutes with Microblading.
The microblading programs are designed for anyone who is interested in the new, exciting field of permanent makeup of the eyebrows.

During this 2 day microblading and shading course consists of learning 2 techniques: microbladed hair strokes done with a manual tool and powder eyebrows done with a permanent makeup tattoo machine.
