Our Crane Operator Training and Slinging courses cover a range of lifting equipment, including overhead cranes and gantry cranes. Some of the lifting accessories we use are slings, chains, lifting beams, plate clamps, and shackles.
These versatile machines are extremely useful for depositing items from one area of a workplace to another. That being said, the safety considerations required when operating an overhead crane means that training of everyone using these machines is essential to maintain a safe working environment.
All our Overhead Crane Training courses are carried out on customer premises. This gives every trainee the opportunity to acquire a full understanding and appreciation for the exact piece of equipment they will be using during their normal working day.
The trainees will also be familiarised with the types of loads they will be moving on a day-to-day basis. All our Overhead Crane Training courses contain an associated knowledge theory training and test section, and practical training and test elements. The theory part will incorporate an instructor presentation and safety video.
During the practical element, the trainee will be required to secure various loads using various lifting accessories and manoeuvre the load safely. If the trainee passes a pre-use, practical and theory test, only then will they be considered competent
