Adobe Photoshop the image editing tool of choice for the entire creative industry and the possibilities are limited only by imagination.

But it is a complex app, and it can be confusing or daunting for beginners. In fact even professional photographers are sometimes bewildered by the number of tools and options available.

This workshop is the perfect guide. With Nick Church showing you around Photoshop, walking you through the features and us practicing the techniques together it will all start to ‘click’.

You will get familiar with the tools and possibilities and find a confidence to start your journey towards amazing creations. Step by step, at a pace driven by you.

If you know your way around Photoshop already and can do the more basic things, but come unstuck on the more complex functionality then we have the Master course. If you’re not sure, or it’s been a while, this Essentials course is a great refresher.

Most photography education courses will aim to give you all the information in a tidal-wave of content with the hope some of it sticks.

Arguably this is little better than YouTube and if that worked then everyone would be a professional photographer. My approach is different.

With targeted, one-to-one mentoring of attendees we build up the knowledge and skills at a pace drive by you, which will allow you to reach a much higher level of expertise.

Course Content

Photoshop Essentials aims to get attendees familiar with the platform, using it in the right way and knowledge about technique and functionality to start their journey to amazing creations.The course includes the following areas:

• Welcome to the power of Adobe Photoshop - what are the possibilities?

• Introduction and Photoshop Vs Lightroom

• Image Formats, loading, saving, exporting

• Tools, panels & options: A guided walk around the whole Photoshop interface

• Making some expert adjustments to your images

• Adding filters and effects

• Introduction to layers and masks

• Combining images and object removal

• Worked examples on a range of your images

Who is it For?

Aimed at photographers that find they are limited by the editing facilities provided by Adobe Lightroom, or those that want to embrace the more creativity that Photoshop allows for your clients.

Pre-Requisites

Laptop/Desktop with Adobe Photoshop. If you need assistance in which plan to purchase from Adobe, please get in touch.

Course Delivery

The course is available in the following formats:

• Photoshop Unleashed! (scheduled session): Full 1 day session (9:30am-5:30pm) with Nick Church at our studio facility. Up to 5 spaces available for each scheduled session. Lunch and drinks provided. £295*

  Photoshop Unleashed! (one-to-one workshop) with Nick Church:

• 8-hour session with Nick Church. Can be split over several sessions, either:

  • 1 x 8 Hour Session (with added time for breaks)

  • 2 x 4 Hour Sessions

  • 4 x 2 Hour Sessions

• Runs either as

  • Face-to-face, either at our studio facility, or your location. Buffet lunch and drinks provided.

  • Remote online session using video and screen-share.
