I specialize in teaching all pianists how to read music and to play piano with a strong technique. All lessons are taught on a Samick Grand piano.

Students are encouraged to participate in studio recitals, music festivals, examinations. However, if they so chose, students can always learn piano without the pressure of performing.
I teach classical, popular, rock, jazz, blues and easy listening. All musical genres are possible!
A graduate of the University of Ottawa, Kristine Dandavino is a pianist and singer based out of Oshawa, Ontario. Kristine started piano lessons at the age of 7 in Montréal. At the age of 11, she was accepted at the prestigious music school Pierre Laporte where she studied piano, choir, chamber music and harmony.
In May 2020. she was presented with The Music Teacher of the Year Award (Oshawa Music Awards). In the Fall of 2020, the studio received a Reader’s Choice Awards for Oshawa-Whitby as well as Ajax-Pickering. In June 2021, the studio was awarded the Platinum Award with CommunityVotes 2021 Oshawa for Music Lessons. The Durham Girls Choir won Gold under the same category.
An activist for poverty, she has had the opportunity to work with The Professors of Funk in their yearly fundraiser for the Backdoor Mission, Inglorious Women for Luke’s Place. Currently, Kristine is completing her Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology.
Bilingual in both official languages, Kristine’s teaching philosophy is based on body, mind, and emotional awareness. Students who learn how to play piano and/or sing can benefit from valuable cognitive benefits, emotional regulation, as well as improved posture.
Recently, she made a guest appearance with Miami Wagner Institute, Choeur polyphonique de Montréal, The Oshawa Brass Band, Durham Chamber Orchestra, Rezound Choir, Durham Philharmonic Choir, Oshawa Durham Symphony Orchestra, Cambridge Symphony, Opera York, and several other organizations across Ontario and Québec.
In 2017, she was invited to adjudicate the Competition for Young Musicians for The El Paso Society for Musicians. Furthermore, she works as the music director at Cederdale United Church as well as the choir director for Durham’s Girl’s Choir.
Her voice is featured on the CD Vocal Rescue: Rediscover the Beauty, Power, and Freedom in Your Singing. Kristine is a Registered Music Teacher in good standing with Ontario Registered Music Teacher Association (Oshawa Branch).
Several of her students have moved on to be professional musicians, won awards, scholarships, work in film/tv as well as their own unique musical journey.

Whether learning for fun from lesson method books, or playing popular repertoire such as modern songs you hear on the radio, or following the graded Royal Conservatory curriculum, students will benefit from lessons with our professional instructors
This training is intended for toddlers from 3 to 5 years old. Nursery rhymes, songs, rhythm are part of learning music and have fun playing our nursery rhymes on the piano. The children will also make their own instruments
