Core Dynamics offers a unique ‘boutique’ program based on historical Pilates, with small class size, individual attention, mentorship experiences and a select group of highly qualified educators and affiliates.

Core Dynamics is the approach to Pilates teaching that was created by Eve Gentry and developed by Michele Larsson.

Saskatoon Pilates Centre is proud to be the exclusive Canadian Teacher Training Centre for Core Dynamics since 2017.

Core 101

CORE 101 is a introductory overview Pilates course for those interested in either deepening and expanding their own personal practice or beginning on the a path to become a Pilates teacher.

Training Overview

The CORE 101 Program will consist of 2, 2 1/2 day weekends which will cover:

Pre-Pilates and Mat exercises through Level III (intermediate)
Reformer exercises Level I (beginner)
Cadillac/Tower, Chair and auxiliary equipment our CORE 5 introductory exercises
History, Pilates philosophy and principles
Mat class design and set up
Group teaching skills
Equipment set-up, function and safety

Why is being a National Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT) Important?

The Pilates Method Alliance is the international governing board that establishes standards for Pilates teacher training centres.

When looking into becoming a Pilates instructor, it’s important to know whether you will only be trained to teach at your home studio, or whether you are becoming a National Certified Pilates Teacher.Some of the benefits include:

Saskatoon Pilates Centre was the original Pilates studio in Saskatchewan. We have been in operation for over 25 years. The center is a proud member of the Pilates Method Alliance. The PMA (R) is the international, not-for-profit, professional association that oversees certification and continuing education standards for Pilates professionals. All of our Saskatoon Pilates studio instructors hold internationally recognized certification.

In 2023, we relocated to a new facility in downtown Saskatoon where we now enjoy a large Pilates equipment studio and a large open class studio. There are 2 gender neutral washrooms, client waiting area and a beautiful sunlit foyer. Saskatoon Pilates is an inviting place of warmth, nurturing, and healing.

All of our Pilates instructors hold certification from Saskatoon Pilates Centre, Core Dynamics, Pilates Core integration, Balanced Body,and the Physicalmind Institute, of New York and Canada. Their goal is to provide students and clients with the best knowledge and experience possible.

Our history is one we are proud of! Saskatoon Pilates Centre is a boutique Pilates studio and was the first Pilates studio in Saskatchewan. Now in operation for 25 years, we are still a studio that cares for the individual. From a home-based business we have expanded and moved 3 times during those years and are now working out of our dedicated Pilates studio in downtown Saskatoon.

Kathy Bond, Owner and Director was the first Pilates teacher in Saskatchewan and taught in both Saskatoon and Regina to spread the word about Pilates and how it could help people. In 2012 we added TRX classes and in 2015 we started offering Fascia Release and Essentrics in 2022.
