Class Times
Students learn from SAIT journey-person welding instructors on campus Monday to Thursday from 8:30-11:30 a.m., and are supervised by an off-campus teacher.
Tuition
Students are responsible to purchase their ILMs and personal protective equipment. The cost of the pre-employment welding program after high school is approximately $4,400.

Students can apply at their high school through their counsellor, career practitioner or Off-Campus Education teacher.

The Welding Techniques program equips students with core welding skills, knowledge, and qualifications necessary to launch a career in welding.
Assiniboine’s four-month Welding certificate provides students with the skills needed for high-quality welding work.
Learn to repair metal parts and structures, fabricate components and apply safe working practices using various welding and cutting equipment and techniques.
Participants will let their creative selves flare by welding, heat bending, and metal twisting!
