The Robotics Engineer I stream introduces students to robot navigation as they move their robots with basic sensors. Students program robots to follow a line with increasing skill and proficiency.
The Robotics Engineer I stream introduces students to robot navigation as they move their robots with basic sensors. Students program robots to follow a line with increasing skill and proficiency.
Working through hands-on challenges, students also learn the mechanics of manipulating their robots using passive mechanics and gears to transfer power at the right speed and in the right direction. This stream’s interactive challenges develop the skills necessary to participate in robotics competitions.
In this course, students are introduced to the basic principles of building robots, exploring concepts such as robot anatomy, mobility commands, control statements, and basic navigation.
They will construct a rover bot using either LEGO’s SPIKE Prime or EV3 Mindstorm and experiment with displays and personalization, laying a solid foundation for future exploration.
Zebra Robotics was founded in 2014. Our mission is to empower people with robotics, coding, and technology. Founders of Zebra Robotics come from a technology background. It began at home, now nearly a decade ago: Thiyagarajan's son loved robotics, and at the time, there wasn't much opportunity to pursue that interest.
So, they started teaching him. Soon, their son's friends wanted to come along as well, so they did. With a move from the USA to Canada, they decided to try the concept with a bigger audience. Thiyagarajans booked some space in the local community centre, and the first session sold out pretty much instantly. The sessions grew, as did participation. In 2015 they made Zebra full-time.
In 2018, Zebra decided to expand its curriculum and footprint. Zebra Robotics now has over 25 courses, covering robotics, coding, and technology programs, for kids from Grade 1 to 12. Also in 2018 Jayendra Balasubramanian offically joined the founder's group. With head offices in Canada and the USA, the company is expanding organically through franchising. How We See The World
Our vision at Zebra Robotics is to inspire the next generation of students to be confident, respectful, and knowledgeable team players who will strive to solve many of the world’s challenges using technology and STEM concepts.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide a unique, challenging, and fun environment where innovation and collaboration are encouraged.
To instill teamwork, time management and professionalism in our classes—core skills necessary to compete in internationally recognized competitions and future careers
This course introduces students to advanced topics in robotics like embedded systems design, robotic arms and advanced microcontrollers.
The Jr. Robotics Engineer stream provides students with a strong foundation for future learning and potential STEM-related learning paths. As they build simple to more complex machines, they learn to critically analyze problems and devise creative solutions.
