Learn how to measure, lay out fabric working with a pattern, cut out, and assemble with our machines .You will learn basic garment construction techniques while making a pajama bottom.
Create, design and sew a half apron - perfect for families who love to cook and bake!
You will walk out having finished several simple projects including, drawstrings, pockets, buttonholes, buttons, hidden zippers, box corners, and finally, a tote bag! It is a great, simple first project that won’t terrify you!
The Mood U 6-Week Beginner Sewing Course for Children (ages 9-15) is a set of six (6) consecutive weekly in-store classes designed to teach the fundamentals of sewing by creating a simple bag from start to finish!
DC Stitch, Capitol Hill’s sewing studio for kids since 2015, offers classes after-school, on weekends, and during the summer.
