These classes have a lot of variety, including: learning short monologues, scripts, improving scenes, learning to work in front of a camera, theatre games and working on songs and harmonies. Great fun for students of all ages! The intermediate classes also work on the technical side of singing and acting and really explore the sounds of their own voice.
At GDM, we believe in letting all our students shine in class, and give everyone a turn to be front and centre. We believe every student has something to give and we allow students to learn in a safe space.
GDM provides children with an opportunity to make new friends while learning in a professional environment. We are not a competitive dance school in a typical form – we prefer to teach children that learning a new skill is something to be enjoyed, and we do not put pressure on anyone to try out for competition teams. However, we will have some exciting new opportunities in 2020, including a new space dedicated to training our competition and performance teams.
