We will be available to provide assistance if needed. During the month on August we will also be knitting the Sweet Georgia MKAL. Kits are available if you would like to join us.
Maker Savvy is a quilt and yarn store in Kanata, Ontario, Canada that supplies products and classes to makers of textile arts. We offer fabric, yarns, Bernina Sewing machines, threads, and other sewing/quilting notions.
In our yarn area we feature Canadian Hand Dyers in a variety of yarn bases and weights. We have products from dyers representing the length and breadth of our wonderful Country; from Western Canada, Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes.
You will learn basic crochet stitches including chain stitch, slip stitch, single crochet and half double crochet while making the Brooklyn Ridge Hat by Ashleigh Kiser. You will also learn the skills to finish your project. If time allows you can start a second project of your choosing.
This is an in-person class held at 1078 Wellington St. W., Ottawa. We prefer that you wear a mask during class for the safety of the instructor and other students.
Lizzy B's Needle Art Supplies & Custom Picture Framing (formerly Sheena's Gallery) sells cross stitch, petit point, needlepoint, embroidery, and some knitting and crochet supplies. Plus we do custom picture framing.
Our most popular option! One hour of one-on-one lessons with one of our teachers. Take advantage of their know-how and the time you have to learn new techniques or to help you out with your project.
Welcome back to crochet! Whether you learned recently or when you were younger, this course is for you. We will go over the basics to re-learn or refresh foundational skills. If you have never picked up a crochet hook before, please take Level 0.
