Tap classes is offered by Industria Dance Centre. Rhythmic sounds created by intricate footwork make this style an enjoyable challenge for your child.
The centre provides a recreational or intense experience for attending students in hopes of discovering their personal passion for the art of dance. Our program runs a length of ten months, September to June, with a year-end performance at the Pantages Playhouse Theatre.
For the more competitive students, we attend three competitions per dance season and are encouraged to attend dance conventions that are excellent opportunities for development and inspiration for the young dancers looking to advance in their craft.
Industria Dance Centre was established in 2015, replacing the well-known and reputable Dance Centre who shared their professional and caring love of dance with the Winnipeg community since 1983. At Industria we continue the philosophy The Dance Centre followed, that “dance is for everyone,” by using the slogan “do it with passion.”

Classes are focused on introducing dancers to different disciplines: Tap, Jazz, Ballet, and Baton. An Acro – Mini class can be added to compliment the dancer’s training. Students are grouped according to age, ability, and previous training.
Tap dance has roots in dancing such as the Juba Dance, Clogging & Irish Step. By the mid 1900’s, Irish and British clogging steps were combined to create “buck and wing”, which became Modern Tap.
When it comes to our Tap lessons, we combine the CDTA syllabus with the Stepping Tones (Al Gilbert) syllabus to provide instruction to students aged 5-16.
Tap classes is offered by ETUDES Dance Studio. Dancers make rhythmic movements and sounds with their feet using tap shoes.
Geared specifically to dancers 5 years to adult. The dance style where rhythmic patterns are sounded by the toes, heels and balls of the feet. Progressive rhythmic skills and syncopation styles are taught in a fun and energetic manner.
