Many violinists move onto viola as teenagers. It is a sought after instrument in orchestras, but is a beautiful solo instrument in its own right.

The violin is the heart and soul of the orchestra. It is the smallest of the stringed instruments, and therefore one of the instruments we recommend for young learners. Children can begin learning from age 5.
Violin Course is Offered by Upper Hutt Music Centre. The Upper Hutt Music Centre is a non-profit organisation. UHMC is a NZ Ministry of Education out of hours music education program for primary aged children.
