Our mission at the Welding Academy is to ensure quality education and training in a caring and safe environment to prepare students for employment in a variety of occupations within the welding and engineering industries. The Welding Academy is committed to graduating socially and ethically responsible students that are capable of pursuing industrial careers as well as further academic studies.
During the course you will learn and practice various welding techniques; however no projects as such will be undertaken. Please note there will be no assessments, certificates issued or unit standards credited at the end of the course.
Welding (Beginners) course is offered by Rutherford College. Come along and discover from an expert in the field what welding is all about. In this hands-on course you will learn the techniques involved and then have the opportunity to apply them.
This course introduces the safe use of oxyacetylene, manual metal arc and gas metal arc welding. No prior knowledge of welding is required for these introductory classes.
We offer entry-level learners the opportunity to grasp a holistic understanding of welding in theory and practical applications. We develop these courses to help welding professionals who are looking to upskill or gain specialisations.
