Upon completion of this course, the trainee will be able to successfully: Identify the purpose of the SCBA. Recognize the requirements workers must meet before wearing a SCBA. Recognize the inspection steps that must be completed to ensure operability of the SCBA prior to its use.

This Respirator Protection Training session is focused on the importance of proper respirator protection, the selection of the appropriate mask for the workplace, inspection of the mask, proper mask fit and seal test, cleaning and storage of the masks

Many workers are required to work in conditions where they are exposed to harmful dusts, fogs, fumes, mists, gases, smokes, sprays, or vapors.

Self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) protects users against oxygen deficiency, dust, gases, and vapors. SCBA training is required for anyone who may use or oversee others using this life-saving equipment.

Our Respirator Safety Program is designed for for Industrial, Commercial, Construction and Healthcare workplaces. Our Fit Testing program is based on the standards and procedures of the respiratory mask manufacturer, the OHSA and Regulations, as well as the Canadian Standards Association (CSA).

Respirator Fit Testing training is offered by Safety Guys Workplace Safety Trainers. Respirators protect us against a variety of atmospheric hazards. It is essential to select the right respirator for the job to ensure you stay safely protected. 

Oxygen Administration training is offered by Complete Safety Training.Complete Safety Training was founded in 1995 by Rick Courtney and has a long history of providing professional first aid and safety training. 

This course is designed to ensure workers are fit tested properly and accurately to ensure they have proper working respiratory apparatuses to provide protection from airborne contaminants.

There are two acceptable methods for Respirator Fit Testing according to the CSA Z94. 4-11. Both a Qualitative and Quantitative method require a trained professional to conduct an in person assessment and training on the selection, care and use of designated respirators.

All respiratory equipment users should be trained in the care, use, limitations, and fitting of the respiratory equipment as part of an adequate respiratory protection program.
