This workshop is designed for participants who have little or no working knowledge of operating a Skid Steer. It is also designed to be a refresher course for experienced operators.

This course has been designed to meet and exceed Occupational Health and Safety Guidelines. This course is applicable to any worker who is responsible for operating this type of heavy equipment.

The course outlines the safety procedures and practices surrounding the use of a Skid Steer Loader. There is a practical portion including the completion of a written exam as well as a practical portion to be competed on a Skid Steer.

This program provides workers with the basic knowledge to operate loader equipment. Workers will be trained on hand signals, safe operation, conducting pre- checks, pinch points and legislative requirements.

This program includes a significant amount of hands-on experience, safely performing basic maintenance and operating various pieces of large equipment at one of our two program locations (Guelph or Brantford Airport).
