The term “lockout/tagout” refers to specific practices and procedures to safeguard workers from the unexpected energizing or start-up of machinery and equipment, or the release of hazardous energy during service or maintenance activities.

All hazardous forms of energy must be locked out, blocked or released to ensure that machinery or equipment does not turn on or move during installation, repair or maintenance.

ACUTE delivers training in English and participants need to demonstrate an independent understanding and comprehension of the course content to successfully complete the training.

Failure to control the release of hazardous energy while servicing and maintaining equipment has the potential to cause severe workplace injuries.

The course content will provide workers with an understanding of the basic principles needed to operate elevating work platform equipment. Classroom training will give workers both the knowledge and the practical hands-on training they need to develop safe operating behaviors and techniques.

Lockout Tagout will teach your trainees how and when lockout is required on power presses, and to prevent accidents and damage caused by unexpected movement of presses and auxiliary equipment.
