Course Details

Program Objectives: 

The course content will provide workers with an understanding of the basic principles needed to operate elevating work platform equipment.

Classroom training will give workers both the knowledge and the practical hands-on training they need to develop safe operating behaviors and techniques.

 

Who would benefit: 

This training program is designed to protect the health and safety of workers on the job site who could reasonably expect to undertake work activities that involve the operation of an elevated work platform.

Regulations and Guidelines: This program will create an understanding of the statutory requirements of the Federal COHS, Provincial and Territorial OH&S legislations.

Course Content:
This training is to provide you with:

  • A basic understanding of the legislative and regulated requirements for lock-out and tag-out procedures;

  • The general training and policies your workplace must have developed and implemented including a specific lock-out, tag-out policy and safe work procedures; and

  • Information on your employer’s responsibility to ensure your safety through established lock-out procedures

All necessary training equipment is provided by Mentor Safety.
