According to estimates made by the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), more than 3 million workers in the United States are potentially exposed to lead in the workplace. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), in 2016, lead is believed to have resulted in 540,000 deaths worldwide.

This course covers OSHA requirements and best practices in construction where an employee may be occupationally exposed to lead. Construction work is defined as work for construction, alteration and/or repair, including painting and decorating.
